We recently discovered a back country road that leads you to this amazing look out! Here are the views from there starting looking north over Paraparaumu... where traveler wants to start to learn to glide.



Then as you turn a bit to your left (looking more due west now) you can see more of Kapiti Island. This is a nature reserve and only 50 people can go there at a day. It also creates a unique air pattern called 'wave' I think that is supposedly great for gliding



then if you keep turning toward the south, you can see the south island....
