Makara Beach is a rocky beach about 20 minutes up the road from us. It probably isn't what most people look for in a beach, but I love it. I can't wait until we can afford a car and I can go here every week. There is a walkway, which we haven't done yet, lots of tidepool type areas, and plenty of rocks to jump between.
