The goat babies are HERE

When I came back from my shower this morning trav 'shhh'ed me. This is not always what the commuting worker in the family likes to hear when their partner is still in bed - as if I am going to tiptoe around someone who is still lounging in bed at nearly 9...

... but then he said that he wondered if that high pitch sound was a bird or baby goats.

The goats were looking a bit wide last week as 2 of them were pregnant. They were 4 days overdue (according to people who know about these kinds of things) last night.
Well this morning one of them had her babies!


The other one is still waiting.

Their ears are nearly half way to the ground and their legs all hypermobile and flimsy still. They just put on an entire show for us from our living room window.

Ah - a wonderful start to a wonderful day. I was just so filled with joy all day long. My poor boss got very little productivity out of me today.

Baby goats!! Wow!
